Jakarta—Shares of issuers with renewable energy businesses tended to close stagnant in early trading this week, Monday, October 21. Of the seven companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), five closed flat, with one stock ending up and one stock weakening.
Based on IDX data, the shares of renewable energy issuers that ended at the same level as the opening at the close of trading today were the shares of PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO), PT Arkora Hydro Tbk (ARKO), PT Kencana Energi Lestari Tbk (KEEN), PT Terregra Asia Energy Tbk (TGRA), and PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA).
Meanwhile, the shares of renewable energy issuers that strengthened in today’s trade were PT Semacom Integrated Tbk (SEMA), which closed up 1.02% to level 99. The stock that closed lower was PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN), which depreciated 2.09% to 7,025.
BREN shares today closed in the opposite direction to the Indonesia Composite Stock Price Index (IDX Composite) and were included in the list of stocks that held the IDX Composite amid a slight gain in the JCI of 0.16% to 7,772.59. This Prajogo Pangestu conglomerate issuer’s shares were recorded to have weakened 6.02% during the year. (hs)
