Renewable energy stocks slide on Tuesday, February 11

Jakarta — Shares of renewable energy companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) closed mostly lower on Tuesday, February 11, with seven stocks declining and one remaining unchanged. The Indonesian Composite Price Index (IDX Composite) continued a downward trend and closed lower by 1.75% to 6,531.99.

PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) led the losses, tumbling 9.40% to 6,025. PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO) also saw a notable drop, falling 5.17% to 825. PT Arkora Hydro Tbk (ARKO) slipped 2.73% to 890, while PT Hero Global Investment Tbk (HGII) edged down 1.05% to 189.

Other stocks in the red included PT Kencana Energi Lestari Tbk (KEEN), which weakened 0.79% to 625, PT Semacom Integrated Tbk (SEMA), which fell 5.88% to 80, and PT Terregra Asia Energy Tbk (TGRA), which declined 4.65% to 41.

Meanwhile, PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) was the only stock that remained unchanged at 144.

Trading activity was dominated by BREN, with over 60 million shares exchanged. The broad decline in renewable energy stocks reflected cautious investor sentiment amid ongoing market fluctuations. (nsh)
