Pertamina supplies AMMAN Mineral with gas

Jakarta – PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI) Regional 3 Kalimantan Subholding Upstream Pertamina agreed to supply gas to PT AMMAN Mineral Nusa Tenggara. Both companies signed a cooperation agreement to sell and purchase LNG at The 4th International Convention on Indonesian Upstream Oil and Gas 2023.

PHI President Director John Anis said that in the cooperation, PT Pertamina (Persero) is the seller representative of the state and the contractor with gas supply originating from the Sanga Sanga Working Area operated by PT Pertamina Hulu Sanga and the East Kalimantan and Attaka Working Areas operated by PT Pertamina Hulu East Kalimantan.

“AMMAN is currently building a copper smelter and a 450 Megawatt (MW) Steam Gas Power Plant (PLTGU) in the Batu Hijau block,” Anis said in an official statement, adding that the smelter is planned to use gas fuel and the electricity gas-powered plants that will replace coal-powered plants.

PHI’s oil and gas production target is one million barrels per day and 12 billion cubic metres of gas per day by 2030. PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI) is part of Pertamina’s Upstream Subholding that manages upstream oil and gas operations and business in accordance with ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) principles in Regional 3 Kalimantan. In 2022, through its subsidiaries and affiliates, PHI recorded oil production of 57.8 thousand barrels of oil per day (MBOPD) and gas production of 668.3 million standard cubic feet of gas per day.
