Jakarta – Shares of issuers with renewable energy businesses, the majority ended in the red zone on Wednesday, October 23. Of the seven energy company stocks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), five stocks closed higher, while two stocks were stagnant.
Two stocks closed at the same level as the opening level, namely PT Terregra Asia Energy Tbk (TGRA), which closed at level 21, and PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA), which ended at level 138.
While stocks that closed in the red zone today, namely PT Semacom Integrated Tbk (SEMA), which fell 2.06% to level 95, PT Kencana Energi Lestari Tbk (KEEN) weakened 0.72% to level 685, PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO) weakened 0.44% to level 1,135.
Then the shares of PT Arkora Hydro Tbk (ARKO) weakened 0.41% to 1,215. And the shares of PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) fell 0.66% to 7,575.
The stock turned lower after experiencing a significant gain in yesterday’s trading of 8.54%. It continued in early trading Wednesday before then experiencing a reversal to the red zone about an hour after the start of trading.
The strengthening that occurred in BREN shares in yesterday’s trading occurred after news of the world’s largest asset management company, Blackrock, increasing the weight from 0.64% to 1.36% for Blackrock’s Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) products, namely iShares Global Clean Energy ETF (ICLN) and iShares Global Clean Energy UCITS ETF (INRG).
The increase was announced by Blackrock on Friday, October 18, last week. (hs)
