Renewable energy stocks sluggish at the weekend

Jakarta—Shares of issuers with renewable energy businesses tended to close lower in weekend trading on Friday, August 16, 2024. However, the Indonesia Composite Index (IDX Composite) closed 0.3% higher to 7,432.09 at the end of trading today.

Only two stocks recorded gains in trading this weekend. The shares of PT Barito Renewables Energy (BREN) rose 0.86% to 8,750, and the shares of PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) appreciated 0.73%.

Meanwhile, PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO) shares closed down 0.4% to 1,230. And PT Kencana Energi Lestari Tbk’s shares depreciated 0.7% to 710.

Shares of renewable energy issuers that closed stagnant today were PT Terregra Asia Energy Tbk (TGRA), PT Semacom Integrated Tbk (SEMA), and PT Arkora Hydro Tbk (ARKO). (hs)
