Renewable energy stocks fall, but BREN still supports IDX Composite

Jakarta – Shares of PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) were the only stock to gain from seven shares of issuers with renewable energy businesses. BREN shares also returned to being movers for the Indonesia Composite Index (IDX Composite), which closed Tuesday, October 1, above 1%.

BREN shares closed in the green zone on Tuesday or strengthened by 3.03% to 6,800. Throughout yesterday’s trading, BREN traded at levels 6,575 to 6,900. JCI closed 1.52% higher to 7,642.13 on Tuesday.

Most shares of other renewable energy issuers closed lower on the first day of October amidst the strengthening of the energy sector by 2.5%.

PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO) shares ended 0.88% lower to 1,125, and PT Arkora Hydro Tbk (ARKO) shares fell 0.52% to 960.

PT Semacom Integrated Tbk (SEMA) shares ended down 1.96% to 100, and PT Terregra Asia Energy Tbk (TGRA) shares fell 8.33% to 22.

Meanwhile, PT Kencana Energi Lestari Tbk (KEEN) shares and PT Maharaksa Biru Energi (OASA) were stagnant on Tuesday. (hs)
