Renewable energy stocks decline on Tuesday, March 18

Jakarta—Shares of renewable energy companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) closed mostly lower on Tuesday, March 18, with five stocks declining and three remaining unchanged. The Indonesian Composite Price Index (IDX Composite) closed lower by 3.84% to 6,223.388.

Leading the losses, PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) plunged 11.79% to 5,050, followed by PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO), which dropped 3.95% to 730. PT Hero Global Investment Tbk (HGII) and PT Kencana Energi Lestari Tbk (KEEN) also weakened, falling 2.81% to 173 and 2.38% to 615, respectively. PT Terregra Asia Energy Tbk (TGRA) edged down 2.78% to 35.

Meanwhile, PT Arkora Hydro Tbk (ARKO), PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA), and PT Semacom Integrated Tbk (SEMA) remained unchanged at 900, 124, and 82, respectively.
