Renewable energy stocks close mixed on Friday, March 21

Jakarta—Shares of renewable energy companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) closed mixed on Friday, March 21, with three stocks gaining, three declining, and two remaining unchanged. The Indonesian Composite Price Index (IDX Composite) closed lower by 1.94% to 6,258.179.

Leading the gainers, PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) rose 6.70% to 5,975, followed by PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO), which climbed 3.97% to 785.

On the downside, PT Kencana Energi Lestari Tbk (KEEN) posted the steepest loss, falling 5.60% to 590, while PT Hero Global Investment Tbk (HGII) dropped 2.27% to 172. PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) also declined, slipping 2.44% to 120.

Meanwhile, PT Arkora Hydro Tbk (ARKO) edged down 0.56% to 885, and PT Semacom Integrated Tbk (SEMA) and PT Terregra Asia Energy Tbk (TGRA) closed unchanged at 83 and 35, respectively.

BREN led trading activity with over 44 million shares exchanged, continuing to attract strong investor interest heading into the weekend. (nsh)
