Jakarta—Tycoon Prajogo Pangestu has increased his share ownership in his conglomerate company, PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN), by buying large volumes of shares. Prajogo, also the controlling shareholder of BREN, bought 10 million shares of the renewable energy issuer at a transaction price of IDR 7,322 per share.
Thus, Prajogo poured funds amounting to IDR 73.22 billion for this corporate action.
“The purpose of the transaction (share purchase) is for personal investment,” said BREN Corporate Secretary Merly in an information disclosure on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), on Tuesday, November 12. With this purchase, Prajogo’s share ownership in BREN increased from 119.78 million shares or 0.089 per cent to 129.78 million shares or 0.097 per cent.
In line with this corporate action, BREN shares have consistently moved in the green zone and closed trading with a gain of 1.69% at 7,500. Since the beginning of this week, the greening of BREN shares has made BREN’s market capitalisation again break through IDR1,003.4 trillion at the close of trading today. (hs)
