Jakarta – Chairman of Kadin Indonesia, Arsjad Rasjid, highlighted the critical role of the Indonesian International Sustainability Forum (ISF) 2024 in leveraging Indonesia’s rich biodiversity and marine resources to strengthen the national economy and drive regional economic growth within ASEAN. According to Rasjid, the forum is a vital platform for attracting investment and creating jobs while fostering collaboration across sectors.
“Through ISF 2024, we hope to attract investors and create jobs. We also want sustainability forums like this to not only be attended by large companies but also involve MSMEs, which are crucial for our future economy. Kadin Indonesia will continue to build an ecosystem where everyone can work together,” Rasjid said.
Shinta W. Kamdani, Deputy Chairperson of the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs, Investment, and Foreign Affairs of Kadin Indonesia, echoed Rasjid’s sentiments. She highlighted the collaborative efforts between Kadin Indonesia, Kemenko Marves, and other partners, aligning with the Indonesia Emas (Golden Indonesia) 2045 Roadmap.
“Kadin Indonesia’s Golden Indonesia Roadmap 2045 has sustainability as a core pillar. We have also prepared a detailed whitepaper for the next government. ISF 2024 will provide substantial input for this whitepaper, helping us shape a more concrete strategy for the 2024-2029 period,” Kamdani added.
ISF 2024 advocates Chelsea Islan, Dion Wiyoko, and Lady Diandra also attended the forum, which underscored the importance of youth participation in addressing the climate crisis, particularly in Indonesia. (nsh)
