Closing trading in 2024, renewable energy stocks end mixed

Jakarta – Shares of companies with renewable energy businesses closed mixed on the last day of trading on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on Monday, December 30. Of the seven shares of companies listed on the IDX, only two ended in the green zone, while four shares closed lower and one ended stagnant.

Two shares of renewable energy issuers that ended up higher, namely PT Terregra Asia Energy Tbk (TGRA), which gained 6.9% at level 31, and PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN), which gained 0.82% at level 9,275.

For your information, the strengthening Monday also confirmed BREN’s shares as the stock with the largest market capitalisation on the IDX, which reached Rp 1,240.87 trillion.

Meanwhile, four shares of renewable energy issuers that ended weakened on the last day of trading in 2024 were shares of PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO), which ended minus 1.58% at 935, PT Arkora Hydro Tbk (ARKO) weakened 3.16% at 920, PT Kencana Energi Lestari Tbk (KEEN) weakened 0.84% at 590. Shares of PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) fell 1.4% at 141.

As for one share of renewable energy issuers that ended stagnant, namely PT Semacom Integrated Tbk (SEMA) at level 84. (hs)
