PGEO, BREN lead gains as renewable energy stocks rally – Friday, July 18

Jakarta — Renewable energy stocks on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) closed mostly higher on Friday, July 18, with five stocks advancing, one declining, and two ending flat. The Indonesian Composite Price Index (IDX Composite) closed higher by 0.34% to 7,311.915.

PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO) led the gainers, rising 1.53% to 1,655. It also recorded the day’s highest trading volume and value, with 192 million shares traded worth over Rp 322 billion across 23,017 transactions. PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) followed closely, gaining 3.56% to 8,000, and raking in nearly Rp 778 billion from 95.9 million shares.

PT Arkora Hydro Tbk (ARKO) increased 2.40% to 855, while PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) surged 6.74% to 190, supported by a volume of over 67 million shares and a transaction value above Rp 123 billion. PT Hero Global Investment Tbk (HGII) also posted a modest gain of 1.27% to 159.

On the downside, PT Kencana Energi Lestari Tbk (KEEN) declined 2.42% to 805 despite a volume of 5.5 million shares. PT Semacom Integrated Tbk (SEMA) and PT Terregra Asia Energy Tbk (TGRA) ended flat at 85 and 27, respectively, with TGRA recording no trades.
