Renewable energy stocks close mostly lower as PGEO and BREN slide – Wednesday, July 2

Jakarta — Renewable energy stocks on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) mainly ended in the red on Wednesday, July 2, with four stocks declining, one gaining, and three remaining flat. The Indonesian Composite Price Index (IDX Composite) closed lower by 0.88% to 6,854.604.

PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO) posted the day’s highest transaction value at over Rp 91.4 billion from a trading volume of more than 66.6 million shares, but fell 1.81% to close at 1,360. PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) also declined, slipping 1.27% to IDR 5,825 with a trading value of approximately IDR 91.2 billion.

Other decliners included PT Kencana Energi Lestari Tbk (KEEN), down 0.64% to 775, and PT Semacom Integrated Tbk (SEMA), which dropped 1.20% to 82.

PT Arkora Hydro Tbk (ARKO) was the sole gainer, rising 1.27% to 795 on modest trading. Meanwhile, PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA), PT Hero Global Investment Tbk (HGII), and PT Terregra Asia Energy Tbk (TGRA) closed unchanged.
