Renewable energy stocks mostly decline as BREN and PGEO weaken – Monday, May 19

Jakarta—Renewable energy stocks on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) closed mostly lower on Monday, May 19, with five stocks declining, one gaining, and two finishing flat. The Indonesian Composite Price Index (IDX Composite) closed higher by 0.46% to 7,139.197.

PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) dropped 2.62% to 6,500, while PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO) fell 2.36% to 1,240 despite recording the highest transaction value of the day at over Rp 137 billion and trading volume exceeding 108 million shares.

Other decliners included PT Arkora Hydro Tbk (ARKO), down 1.69% to 870, PT Kencana Energi Lestari Tbk (KEEN), which slipped 0.58%, and PT Hero Global Investment Tbk (HGII), down 0.56% to 177.

On the upside, PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) rose sharply by 8.33% to 143, with the highest trading volume of the day at over 278 million shares.

Meanwhile, PT Semacom Integrated Tbk (SEMA) and PT Terregra Asia Energy Tbk (TGRA) both ended flat at 89 and 34, respectively.
