Jakarta – Shares of companies with renewable energy businesses closed mixed in trading ahead of the weekend, Friday, January 17. Four shares of renewable energy issuers ended up higher, while two shares weakened and two other shares closed stagnant.
The four shares of renewable energy issuers that ended in positive territory were PT Hero Global Investment Tbk (HGII), which gained 0.52% at 194, then PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA,) which gained 1.46% at 139, PT Arkora Hydro Tbk (ARKO) rose 2.12% at 965. PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) rose 2.61% at 9,825.
BREN shares again took part in driving the Indonesia Composite Stock Price Index (IDX Composite), which amounted to 9.6 index points, although it was still below the shares of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA), which became the main driver of the IDX Composite with a weight of 10 index points. The IDX Composite on Friday closed 0.66% higher to 7,154.66.
Meanwhile, two shares of renewable energy issuers that closed Friday’s trading in the red zone were PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO), which fell 1.6% at 920, and PT Semacom Integrated Tbk (SEMA), which fell 2.3% at 85.
The two shares of renewable energy issuers that ended stagnant were PT Terregra Asia Energy Tbk (TGRA) at 47 and PT Kencana Energi Lestari Tbk (KEEN) at 620. (hs)
