Renewable energy stocks decline on Monday, March 17

Jakarta—Shares of renewable energy companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) closed mostly lower on Monday, March 17, with four stocks declining, three gaining, and one remaining unchanged. The Indonesian Composite Price Index (IDX Composite) closed lower by 0.7% to 6,470.024.

Leading the losses, PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) fell 4.98% to 5,725, followed by PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO), which dropped 0.65% to 760. PT Semacom Integrated Tbk (SEMA) and PT Terregra Asia Energy Tbk (TGRA) both edged down 1.20% to 82 and 2.70% to 36, respectively.

On the upside, PT Arkora Hydro Tbk (ARKO) gained 2.27% to 900, while PT Hero Global Investment Tbk (HGII) rose 2.30% to 178. PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) also increased 1.64% to 124.

Meanwhile, PT Kencana Energi Lestari Tbk (KEEN) remained unchanged at 630.
