Pertamax series and non-subsidised diesel fuel price reduced

Jakarta – Pertamina Patra Niaga, Subholding Commercial & Trading PT Pertamina (Persero) made an adjustment to the selling price of types of general fuel or non-subsidized fuel, namely Pertamax, Pertamax Turbo, Dexlite, and Perta Dex. Pertamina Patra Niaga Corporate Secretary, Irto Ginting in a written release, Saturday (1/10) said the price adjustment followed the trend of the average price of oil publications, namely the Mean of Platts Singapore (MOPS) or Argus.

“Based on calculations, in the last September period for Gasoline (petrol) products, namely the Pertamax Series, the price was adjusted down, while for Gasoil (diesel) Dexlite and Perta Dex products the price was increased. All price adjustments take effect from October 1,” said Ginting, adding that evaluation and adjustment of prices for non-subsidized fuel will continue on a monthly basis.

The new prices are in accordance with the pricing stipulated in the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Decree No. 62/K/12/MEM/2020 regarding the formulation of the price of general or non-subsidized fuel. Ginting said the difference in price adjustments for Pertamax Series and Dex Series products was caused by global energy conditions, one of which was geopolitics in Eastern Europe. This condition causes high demand for gas fuel products worldwide, and one of the substitutes for gas fuel products is diesel fuel whose price refers to MOPS Kerosene. (Hartatik)
