Jakarta – PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) shares fell sharply on Tuesday, September 3. The decline also contributed to the Indonesia Composite Index (IDX Composite) closing lower at the end of trading today.
At 16:00 WIB, BREN shares ended at 10,250, or 4.65% lower. Meanwhile, IDX Composite ended at 7,616.52, or depreciated 1.01%.
Today, BREN shares were traded at IDR 355.17 billion.
Since the beginning of this year, Barito Renewables Energy shares have strengthened by 37.12%. This strengthening has increased the market capitalisation value of the Prajogo Pangestu conglomerate group’s issuer to IDR 1,371.31 trillion, and it still leads the list of issuers with the largest market capitalisation value on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).
Not only BREN shares but also the shares of renewable energy issuers that recorded weakness today were PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO) shares, which fell 1.31% to 1,130, and PT Arkora Hydro Tbk (ARKO) shares, which fell 1.49% to 990.
Meanwhile, PT Semacom Integrated (SEMA) also fell 0.93% to 107 in today’s trading. (hs)
