BREN shares helped push the IDX Composite to a new record

Jakarta—The Indonesia Composite Index (IDX Composite) again set a new all-time high at the close of trading on Wednesday, 21 August. PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) shares also strengthened, helping the IDX Composite set the record.

The IDX Composite was 7,554.59 at 16:00 this afternoon, or strengthened 0.27%. The highest level touched in today’s trading was 7,594.54.

BREN shares today closed at 9,525 or strengthened by 1.06%. Throughout the day, they moved from 9,375 to 9,625, with a market capitalization of IDR 1,274.31 trillion.

Thus, from the beginning of the year until the close of trading today. BREN shares have gained 27.42%.

BREN shares recorded the highest gain among the shares of other renewable energy issuers listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange today. Another strengthened renewable energy issuer was PT Arkora Hydro Tbk (ARKO), which appreciated 0.87% to 1,155.

Meanwhile, the shares of other energy issuers, namely PT Semacom Integrated (SEMA), fell 0.89% to 111. Then, the shares of PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO) fell 0.41% to 1,200 at the end of trading today.

Shares of issuers with other renewable energy businesses, namely PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) and PT Terregra Asia Energy Tbk (TGRA), closed stagnant in today’s trading. (hs)
