Renewable energy stocks rally as PGEO and OASA surge – Thursday, June 12

Jakarta — Renewable energy stocks on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) mainly closed higher on Thursday, June 12, with five stocks gaining, three declining, and one remaining flat. The Indonesian Composite Price Index (IDX Composite) closed lower by 0.25% to 7,204.37.

PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO) led the gainers, jumping 10.33% to 1,495, marking the highest transaction value of the day at over Rp 380 billion and trading volume of nearly 269 million shares. PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) also saw strong momentum, soaring 16.36% to 192, with over 191 million shares exchanged, generating more than Rp 35 billion in value.

Other gainers included PT Kencana Energi Lestari Tbk (KEEN), which rose 1.25% to 810, PT Arkora Hydro Tbk (ARKO), up 0.60% to 835, and PT Semacom Integrated Tbk (SEMA), which edged up 1.16% to 87.

On the downside, PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) declined 1.90% to 6,450, although it remained among the most traded stocks with a transaction value exceeding Rp 121 billion. PT Hero Global Investment Tbk (HGII) and PT Terregra Asia Energy Tbk (TGRA) also slipped by 1.16% and 3.23%, respectively.
