Renewable energy stocks mixed as PGEO gains, BREN slips – Wednesday, June 4

Jakarta — Renewable energy stocks on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) closed mixed on Wednesday, June 4, with three stocks advancing, three declining, and two remaining unchanged. The Indonesian Composite Price Index (IDX Composite) closed higher by 0.33% to 7,068.294.

PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO) led the gainers, rising 0.77% to 1,315, with the day’s highest transaction value at over Rp 130 billion and volume nearing 97 million shares. PT Hero Global Investment Tbk (HGII) also gained 1.75% to 174, while PT Semacom Integrated Tbk (SEMA) edged up 1.15% to 88.

Meanwhile, PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) fell 1.20% to 6,200, with vigorous activity totalling more than Rp 65 billion in transaction value. PT Arkora Hydro Tbk (ARKO) and PT Kencana Energi Lestari Tbk (KEEN) also declined by 1.18% and 1.81%, respectively.

PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) and PT Terregra Asia Energy Tbk (TGRA) closed flat at 145 and 34, with OASA trading the highest volume of the day at over 75 million shares.

The market reflected cautious optimism as selective gains in PGEO and HGII were offset by continued weakness in BREN and other counters. (nsh)
