Jakarta—Shares of renewable energy companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) closed mixed on Wednesday, February 5. Three stocks recorded gains at the end of trading, while four stocks weakened. The Indonesian Composite Price Index (IDX Composite) closed lower by 0.7% to 7,024.228.
Among the gainers, PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) led with an increase of 7.91% to 150, followed by PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO), which rose 2.20% to 930. PT Kencana Energi Lestari Tbk (KEEN) also increased by 0.77% to 655, while PT Semacom Integrated Tbk (SEMA) gained by 1.12% to 90.
On the losing side, PT Arkora Hydro Tbk (ARKO) saw the steepest decline, dropping 5.00% to 950. PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) slipped 0.28% to 8,850, while PT Hero Global Investment Tbk (HGII) declined 1.04% to 190. PT Terregra Asia Energy Tbk (TGRA) also weakened slightly, down 2.04% to 48.
Despite mixed movements, trading volume remained strong, with PGEO leading in transactions, exchanging over 31 million shares. The performance of renewable energy stocks reflected ongoing market adjustments amid broader economic factors. (nsh)
