OASA and ARKO gain as PGEO and BREN dip – Wednesday, July 16

Jakarta — Renewable energy stocks on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) closed mixed on Wednesday, July 16, with three stocks advancing, four declining, and one ending unchanged. The Indonesian Composite Price Index (IDX Composite) closed higher by 0.72% to 7,192.018.

PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) led the gainers with a 7.39% increase to 189, supported by strong investor interest and a transaction value of over Rp 37.2 billion from more than 205 million shares. PT Arkora Hydro Tbk (ARKO) also rose 3.13% to 825, while PT Semacom Integrated Tbk (SEMA) edged up 1.19% to 85.

On the downside, PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) slipped 0.65% to 7,700, with the highest transaction value of the day at over Rp 424 billion from more than 55.9 million shares traded. PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO) declined 1.53% to 1,610, continuing its recent correction despite trading over 159 million shares worth Rp 251 billion.

PT Kencana Energi Lestari Tbk (KEEN) fell 3.03% to 800, and PT Hero Global Investment Tbk (HGII) weakened 1.89% to 156.

PT Terregra Asia Energy Tbk (TGRA) remained flat at 27, with no trading activity.

A mixed performance across the board reflected cautious investor sentiment, with profit-taking in large-cap stocks like PGEO and BREN offsetting renewed interest in mid-cap gainers such as OASA and ARKO. (nsh)
