Jakarta — Indonesian renewable energy platform ZONAEBT has announced a strategic collaboration with Japan’s Zeroboard Inc. to accelerate the country’s decarbonization efforts. In a statement on Tuesday, September 9, ZONAEBT announced that the partnership will result in the development and launch of ZonaGHG, an integrated software platform designed to help businesses calculate, reduce, and offset their carbon emissions in accordance with international standards.
By combining Zeroboard’s advanced sustainability technology with ZONAEBT’s knowledge of Indonesia’s regulatory and business landscape, the software aims to simplify carbon accounting and compliance for companies across sectors. Key features include automated reporting, real-time emissions dashboards, and direct integration with Indonesia’s carbon registry (SRN-PPI) as well as Renewable Energy Certificates (REC) from geothermal and hydropower sources.
“The collaboration with Zeroboard is a tangible manifestation of our commitment to providing advanced digital solutions that meet the needs and regulations in Indonesia,” said I Kadek Alamsta Suarjuniarta, CEO of ZONAEBT. Zeroboard CEO Michitaka Tokeiji said, “Through this partnership, we hope to make a real contribution in helping the Indonesian business sector measure and manage their emissions more effectively and efficiently.”
The platform, which has already undergone a soft launch, will be supported by training and capacity-building programs to help companies embed carbon management into their sustainability strategies.
Founded in 2021, ZONAEBT focuses on renewable energy education and carbon credit solutions in Indonesia. Zeroboard, also established in 2021, is a Japanese provider of cloud-based sustainability platforms, trusted by thousands of companies across Japan and ASEAN. (nsh)
