Jakarta—Shares of renewable energy companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) closed mostly higher on Wednesday, February 12, with six stocks gaining, one declining, and one remaining unchanged. The Indonesian Composite Price Index (IDX Composite) rebounded after almost a week of declining trend and closed higher by 1.74% to 6,645.778.
Leading the gains, PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) surged 4.15% to 6,275, followed by PT Arkora Hydro Tbk (ARKO), which rose 2.25% to 910. PT Kencana Energi Lestari Tbk (KEEN) strengthened by 1.60% to 635, while PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO) and PT Semacom Integrated Tbk (SEMA) each increased by 0.61% and 6.25%, closing at 830 and 85, respectively. PT Hero Global Investment Tbk (HGII) also edged up 0.53% to 190.
On the losing side, PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) dipped 2.08% to 141, while PT Terregra Asia Energy Tbk (TGRA) slipped 2.44% to 40.
Trading activity was dominated by OASA, with over 115 million shares exchanged. The strong rebound in renewable energy stocks reflected renewed investor confidence amid improving market sentiment. (nsh)
