Jakarta — Renewable energy stocks on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) surged on Tuesday, July 15, with four stocks gaining, three declining, and one remaining unchanged. The Indonesian Composite Price Index (IDX Composite) closed higher by 0.59% to 7,139.053.
PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO) led the rally with a sharp 10.47% gain to 1,635, backed by strong investor appetite with 262 million shares traded and a transaction value of over Rp 418 billion. PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) followed, rising 6.16% to 7,750, recording the day’s highest transaction value of more than Rp 967 billion across over 61,700 trades.
PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) also saw solid gains, increasing 4.14% to 176, supported by high volume of 268 million shares and a transaction value exceeding Rp 46.2 billion.
On the downside, PT Arkora Hydro Tbk (ARKO) slipped 1.23% to 800, PT Kencana Energi Lestari Tbk (KEEN) edged down 0.60% to 825, and PT Semacom Integrated Tbk (SEMA) dipped 1.18% to 84.
Meanwhile, PT Hero Global Investment Tbk (HGII) and PT Terregra Asia Energy Tbk (TGRA) ended flat at 159 and 27, respectively, with TGRA showing no trading activity.
