Renewable energy stocks mixed on Tuesday, PGEO and ARKO leading declines

Jakarta — Renewable energy stocks on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended mixed on Tuesday, August 5, with four stocks closing lower, two gaining, and two ending flat. The session was marked by profit-taking in prominent names, even as select stocks like OASA and HGII posted modest gains. The Indonesian Composite Price Index (IDX Composite) closed higher by 0.58% to 7,507.931.

PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO) slipped 1.55% to 1,585, with over 86 million shares changing hands, making it the day’s most actively traded renewable energy stock by volume. PT Arkora Hydro Tbk (ARKO) also declined sharply, losing 3.38% to 1,000.

Other decliners included PT Semacom Integrated Tbk (SEMA), down 1.09% to 91, and PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN), which dropped 1.74% to 7,075, with a total transaction value of Rp 246 billion across 21,496 trades.

Meanwhile, PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) led the gainers, rising 5.26% to 200, followed by PT Hero Global Investment Tbk (HGII), which edged up 2.16% to 142.

PT Kencana Energi Lestari Tbk (KEEN) closed flat at 800, and PT Terregra Asia Energy Tbk (TGRA) remained stagnant at 27 with no recorded trades.
