Renewable energy stocks decline on Thursday, February 6

Jakarta—Shares of renewable energy companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) mainly weakened on Thursday, February 6, with six stocks closing lower and two remaining unchanged. The Indonesian Composite Price Index (IDX Composite) continued a downward trend and closed lower by 2.4% to 6,855.653.

Among the decliners, PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) led the losses, falling 0.85% to 8,775. PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO) also declined, dropping 2.69% to 905, while PT Hero Global Investment Tbk (HGII) weakened 2.11% to 186. PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) slipped 2.00% to 147, PT Kencana Energi Lestari Tbk (KEEN) edged down 0.76% to 650, and PT Terregra Asia Energy Tbk (TGRA) lost 6.25% to 45.

Meanwhile, PT Arkora Hydro Tbk (ARKO) and PT Semacom Integrated Tbk (SEMA) remained unchanged at 950 and 90, respectively.

Trading activity was led by OASA, which saw over 63 million shares exchanged. The decline in renewable energy stocks reflected broader market uncertainty and investor caution. (nsh)
