Jakarta – Pertamina officially enforces the use of a QR Code scan on MyPertamina mobile application for the purchase of subsidised diesel fuel in 234 city / regency areas throughout Indonesia. The policy is officially implemented as of May 25, 2023.
Pertamina Patra Niaga Corporate Secretary, Irto Ginting, said the MyPertamina QR Code purchase scheme can better ensure that subsidised diesel is properly distributed to eligible users according to their daily quota.
When the vehicle registration number input scheme was still allowed, there are many cases where it was misused. The use of the MyPertamina application can be the answer since all transactions go to those people that qualify, he said in an official statement.
Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional West Java expanded the implementation of the program in Jakarta Province, Bogor City and Regency, and Depok City. The policy also extends to Banten Province and most of West Java Province, except Bogor Regency and City.
Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional West Java spokesperson, Joevan Yudha Achmad said in the full registrant scheme registered consumer vehicles can purchase diesel fuel even though they do not carry a QR Code, while those who have not registered cannot be served.
Achmad said the role of the community is needed to ensure targeted distribution of subsidised fuel. He hopes for community cooperation to support Pertamina’s efforts. (Hartatik)
