HGII establishes Kalbar Bio Energi to expand renewable energy portfolio

Jakarta – PT Hero Global Investment Tbk (HGII), through its subsidiary PT Seluma Clean Energy (SCE), has announced the establishment of a new entity, PT Kalbar Bio Energi (KBE), on March 20, 2025. This development was disclosed via the Indonesia Stock Exchange’s (IDX) information transparency page.

KBE’s primary business activity is electricity power generation, classified under the Indonesian Standard Business Field Classification (KBLI) Code number 35111. The authorized capital for KBE is set at IDR 10 billion, divided into 10,000 shares. HGII holds a 99% ownership stake, amounting to 2,475 shares valued at IDR 2.475 billion, while SCE owns 1%, comprising 25 shares valued at IDR 25 million. The remaining 7,500 shares, worth IDR 7.5 billion, are unissued stock.

This strategic move aligns with HGII’s ongoing commitment to expanding its footprint in the renewable energy sector. Established in 2010 and based in Jakarta Selatan, HGII focuses on generating new renewable energy, particularly through micro-hydro power plants. Its subsidiary, SCE, manages the Parmonangan-1 Micro Hydro Power Plant, a run-of-river facility utilizing the Aek Sibundong River in North Sumatra.

The formation of KBE underscores HGII’s contribution to Indonesia’s sustainable energy landscape and supports the nation’s renewable energy goals. (nsh)
