Geothermal stocks drag IDX renewable energy segment lower – Wednesday, July 30

Jakarta — Renewable energy stocks on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) closed mostly in the red on Wednesday, July 30, with three stocks declining, two inching up, and three ending flat. The Indonesian Composite Price Index (IDX Composite) closed lower by 0.99% to 7,542.59.

PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO) posted the biggest loss, falling 6.83% to 1,705, despite recording the day’s highest trading value at over Rp 439 billion and a volume of 250 million shares traded in 39,181 transactions.

PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) also retreated, shedding 1.26% to 7,825, while PT Kencana Energi Lestari Tbk (KEEN) dipped 0.63% to 790.

On the positive side, PT Arkora Hydro Tbk (ARKO) edged up 0.54% to 925, and PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) remained flat at 200, but continued to draw high trading interest with 110 million shares traded, valued at Rp 22 billion.

PT Semacom Integrated Tbk (SEMA) and PT Terregra Asia Energy Tbk (TGRA) closed unchanged at 87 and 27, respectively, with TGRA seeing no trading activity. PT Hero Global Investment Tbk (HGII) declined slightly by 1.27% to 155.
