Formula E Jakarta is set to feature 11 electric car racing teams from eight countries around the world. The champion from the previous season automatically qualifies for a Super Licence the following year, further showcasing the importance of consistent performance and excellence in the championship.
The participating drivers must meet specific criteria to qualify for the FIA Formula E Championship. These requirements include undergoing FIA training sessions focused on electrical safety and understanding the technical and sporting aspects of the fully-electric Formula E cars. Drivers must also have accumulated at least 20 points in the past three years, either through the FIA points system or by holding a Super Licence or participating in at least three events of the previous FIA Formula E World Championship.
The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship comprises two separate titles: the Drivers’ World Championship and the Teams’ World Championship. The former is awarded to the driver who accumulates the most points throughout the season, while the latter is determined by the combined points scored by each team’s driver pairing throughout the campaign.
