BREN shares bring IDX Composite to a slight gain ahead of the weekend

Jakarta – Shares of companies with renewable energy businesses listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) tended to strengthen at the close of trading ahead of the weekend, Friday, December 20. PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) shares were again the biggest support for the Indonesia Composite Stock Price Index (IDX Composite), by 14.4 index points.

BREN shares closed up 4.25% higher in Friday’s trading, at 9,200. This strengthening was the main support for the IDX Composite, which ended at 6,983.86, a slight increase of 0.09%.

Friday’s strengthening of BREN shares occurred, along with the moment of the interim cash dividend payment date, worth IDR 506.15 billion or equivalent to IDR 3.78 per share.

Meanwhile, the shares of other renewable energy issuers that also ended in the green zone in Friday’s trading, namely PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO), which strengthened 1.04% at 975, PT Arkora Hydro (ARKO) rose 0.53% at 945, PT Semacom Integrated Tbk (SEMA) strengthened 2.35%, and PT Terregra Asia Energy Tbk (TGRA) strengthened 9.09% at 24.

The shares of renewable energy issuers that ended weakened Friday, namely PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA), which fell 2.07% at 142.

Meanwhile, one share of renewable energy issuers that ended stagnant in Friday’s trading was PT Kencana Energi Lestari Tbk (KEEN) at 595. (hs)
