ADV: Business and Human Rights: Minimising Risks, Building Sustainable Growth

Amid growing global pressure for ethical and sustainable business practices, corporate responsibility to respect human rights is no longer optional. In many cases, human rights violations within supply chains or operations lead to serious risks—from lawsuits and market rejection to long-term reputational damage that can take years to recover from.

This growing awareness underpins the upcoming training, “Implementing Human Rights Due Diligence in Corporate Practices,” organised by CRU Indonesia, scheduled for June 24–26, 2025, in Bandung. The training provides business actors with a space to deeply explore Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD) practices and how they can be integrated meaningfully into every step of business operations—from upstream to downstream.

Grounded in the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs), the OECD Guidelines, and Indonesia’s policy framework on business and human rights, this training is more than a compliance exercise—it is a strategic investment in building resilient businesses amid the growing socio-environmental crises.

From Theory to Practice

Over the course of three days, participants will have the opportunity to learn directly from experienced practitioners and academics in the field of business and human rights. The training covers identifying potential human rights risks in the workplace and supply chain, understanding the HRDD process, and developing credible grievance and remediation mechanisms. Delivered through real-world case studies and interactive discussions, the program ensures that participants go beyond theory and are equipped to take practical action.

Who Should Attend?
This training is designed for corporate staff, ESG/CSR teams, and sustainability consultants seeking to strengthen their responsible business approaches and align with emerging human rights standards.
