Jakarta – As of June 2023, PT PLN (Persero) has sold 537.38 gigawatt hours (GWh) of electricity. The state electricity company onboarded 563 business and industrial sector customers who used electricity independently to switch to PLN electricity.

This year, PLN targets the programme to distribute up to 590.03 GWh of power to customers. Currently, PLN has achieved 91 per cent of its annual energy supply target.
Prasodjo said PLN had mapped the potential for additional captive power acquisitions in 2023. Consisting of old customers who have the potential to extend their services and new customers who have made agreements. The total potential reaches 412.04 GWh.
“There are many potential industrial and business customers who can switch to PLN electricity. We will continue to improve this programme to serve more customers in the business and industrial sectors to encourage economic growth,” he said. (Hartatik)
